    Copy of a letter relating to the death of Rifleman Frank Silk Whitaker, who was killed in action at Passchendaele on 12 October 1917. The original was written by Chaplain S. [Stephen?] Parr, to Mrs Whitaker, expressing condolence at her husband's death, and copied by Charles F. Whitaker. Includes brief biographical details of Charles Whitaker's parents and sister to 1953. (4 leaves)
