    (1) -- St. James' Church, an old Anglican church built of stone nestled at the foot of Mangere Mountain (3 leaves), and

    (2) -- The settlement in 1849 of 480 acres of Government land by eighty families of Te Wherowhero and Ngati Mahuta. Mentioned are Kati Takiwaru, Tamati Ngapora, Warena Kahawai, Hohana and Tutere (1 leaf).
