    The plate is reproduced in NZELS Brochure no. 4 (1937), pp 24-25, with commentary by J.C. Andersen. This plate was printed in both red and black ink versions. Included in the 1992 National Library of New Zealand exhibition.

    Mary Mander, 1877-1949, was the author of "A story of a New Zealand River," and five other novels which appeared between 1920 and 1928.
