Diploma of participation presented to the teenage swimmer Violet Walrond of Auckland who was one of four atheletes to represent New Zealand at the 7th Olympic Games at Antwerp: 3rd in 2nd 100 metre freestyle heat (1min 21.4 sec), 5th in final 100 metre freestyle (winners time 1min 13.6 sec), 2nd in 1st 300 metre freestyle heat but did not swim in the final - withrew because of illness.
