    • Auckland, presumably from the foot of Queen Street, looking across harbour to Mt Victoria and North Head, with an apparently snow clad Rangitoto in background.
    • On verso: "Original sketch. Waitemata. 1866". It is doubtful that this date is correct as H.J. Warre served in NZ as commanding officer of the 57th Regiment from 1861-1865.
    • Damaged. Top & bottom right corners torn.
