    4 paintings illustrating the incident on 30 April 1917 in which H.M.S. Prize (a 200 ton topsail schooner) engaged the German submarine U-93 in the Atlantic. Lieutenant William Edward Sanders, Captain of the Prize was awarded the VC for his courage and seamanship in sinking the German submarine. The Sanders Cup, NZ's premier sailing trophy commemorates W.E. Sanders.
