Taken at Parawai, Thames near Totara Point 1899. Kirikaiahi Rotorua. Once wife of (?) Maling, then of Renata. Mother of Raharuhi Pururu. Mrs Enoka of Parawai inscribed on corresponding print (1993)
"Kirikaiahi mother of Raharuhi Pururu of Horohoro 10 m.s. of Rotorua. Kirikaiahi was the Maori wife of Christopher Maling N.Z. Cross - Raharuhi Pururu was their half caste son who died at Horohoro . De. 1958 - This photo of Kirikaiahi was taken at Horo in 1898 by Ernie Walters, school master of Hikutaia" inscribed on verso of PH-1991-12-2-44
