  • Notes
Henry Smith was a grocer in Leicester, England prior to arrival in NZ, where he continued for a time as a grocer and photographer before becoming a tram conductor and later farmer. Photographs follow the chronological movements of the Smith family around NZ - Wellington, Thames, Auckland, Taranaki. (In our numbering of the negatives the small Wellington group are placed last as they are without captions, dates, or identification).
