Sergeant John Trevor Peat (serial number 3/829) Mounted Field Ambulance, N.Z. Medical Corps, came from Dargaville and went with the Reinforcement draft "Manuka" 29 July 1915. Died of disease in Palestine 17 November 1918, was mentioned in despatches. He was single and his next of kin was Robert John Peat (brother) of Dargaville
