Goldie information (See: Goldie by Blackley) states that Ahinata Te Rangitautini was a Chieftainess of the Te Arawa tribe, Tuhourangi Iwi, from the Lake Tarawera region. The image was most likely taken around 1910 but used by Goldie for paintings up to 1941.
