    Black and white photograph of ‘ice dog’. The dog is likely ‘Kid’, the pet dog of Clarence Hare who was assistant steward on the Discovery Expedition to Antarctica 1901-1904. The dog was described by Captain Scott as having short legs and a long, fleecy black and white coat.
