HOLOTYPE of Psychotria volii R.O.Gardner, cited NZJBot 35: 489 (1997). Isotype to: SUVA.
Relict 4 m tall 12 cm treelet on dry ridge. Flowers, small empty orange fruit, the larger fruit green. Narrow leaves from sucker shoots (concealed
from goats by surrounding grass). Same tree as ROG 6754 & 6805 (AK 211975 & 213330)
