    HOLOTYPE of: Kunzea toelkenii de Lange, PhytoKeys 40: pg 89-90, 2014.
    Dominant, growing with Muehlenbeckia
    complexa, Lupinus arboreus, boxthorn and Pyrrosia
    eleagnifolia as sparse associates. Multitrunked shrubs to
    small trees up to 4 x 4m. Trunks sinuous, contorted, bark
    tearing in sinuous, lunate flakes with irregular
    margins. Branchlet hairs antrorse appressed (10x)
    foliage bright emerald green, maturing dark green,
    branchlets decurved, pendulous, basal root stock and
    trunks emitting horizontal runners through epicormic
    growth. Runners extending up to 4m from trunk.
    Flowers with 20-50 stamens, strongly scented.
