Rampant through vegetable garden (overgrown) with Tropaeolum majus, and adjacent rockery, covering > 6m x 6m, flower heads visible above green leaves with pale splotches on upper side. Spathe cream below with broad red-purple verticle stripes & nearly pure purple-red on the hood. Male flowers directly above female flowers. Rhizome white & fleshy.
