Uncommon. On roadside. Scattered small trees up to 4 m tall, trunk 6 cm dbh, bark chocolate brown, flaking into small tabular pieces. Underbark yellow to deep orange. Branchlets finely hairy, hairs silky, appressed. Leaves light to dark green hairy. Flowers flushed pink, 6-8 mm diam., stigma red to dark red, stamens arranged [3,2 ap - 2,3(+2) as] x 5 pe.
