  • Field Collection Notes
Localised along back of dune field amongst pohutukawa trees bordering swamp. Leaves tightly imbricating, tawny yellow to deep orange. The few fruits seen opaque white, very rarely stippled with blue near apex. Said to be indigenous to the island BUT not recorded by Ogle (1987, Tane 32:19-48). Nevertheless I have not seen a form with such tightly appressed leaves before. nrDNA ITS/ETS voucher for School of Biological Sciences, University of Auckland.
