3 m tall vigorous sapling at roadside, through tall secondary forest (adults to c.20 m tall, 20 cm dbh). Stipules appressed, harbouring small - medium sized orange ants. Stem not glabrous, leaves minutely patently hairy on both surfaces. No prong on petiole boss.
