Field Collection Notes
Inner Kaipara Harbour coastal broadleaf forest remnant, narrow ribbon around small arm of Whakapirau Creek. Dominated by kowhai and karaka with frequent totara and occasional kahikatea (1 old growth tree), titoki, matai (1 large old growth tree), tawa and Nestegis lanceolata. Understorey basically grazed out, some Coprosma rhamnoides and C. areolata. Ground cover Oplismenus hirtellus and pasture grasses. Mature tree.
