    very fine shingle; very dry; quite sheltered from wind; very exposed to sun. Habit: upright, low clustered plant; leaves in close rows up stem, only undersides visible; stem and capsules white pubescence; flowers white, ~3mm across and 5mm long; sepals nearly as long as petals; capsules beaked or pointed, subsessile, orange to pale green.
