Growing on roadside in slightly warmer area on Spur Road, Mt Kupukore, SSE of Pongaroa, Northern Wairarapa.
"Juvenile and adult branches. Typical of this taxon throughout most of New Zealand. Branchlet hairs copiously antrorse-appressed, short to long." P. J. de Lange notes, 22 March 2007.
