    Occurs on the north side midway along a large gully leading out to the Tasman Sea near the Manukau Heads. Always shaded. Area open to light grazing. Some bush on valley bottom/lower sides. Mixed with & dominated by Dumortiera over an area c. 6m wide by 3m high. Other bryophytes present: Megaceros & Acrophyllum. Trees above the sandstone face include mahoe, nikau, hangehange and karamu. Some Adiantum cunninghamii and Pneumatopteris pennigera also on face
