Growing on Cyathea cunninghamii near trunk bases above a deep stream. Associated with, and fronds intermixed with, numerous large A. gracillimum plants (AK 300726). A single putative hybrid A. flaccidum x A. gracillmum collected in association with these plants (see AK 300999)
