    Locally common on exposed serpentinite boulders and in crevices, joints and overhangs. Leaves rather narrow, stiffly erect, very dark green with a dark orange margin. Inflorescences very tall (up to 3 m) and far exceeding foliage, branches rather narrow. Flowers uniformly dark red in this population
