    Common on oyster encrusted basalt rocks at and below low tide mark. Associated with Ecklonia radiata (AK 309509), Hormosira banksii (AK 309511) and occasional plants of Carpophyllum maschalocarpum (AK 309512). Most plants seen very tatty with rather frayed and seemingly browsed stems and intact basal rosettes. Virtually all heavily encrusted in diatoms.
