Field Collection Notes
Uncommon. A few patches seen growing at the entrance of disused petrel burrows amongst relatively open Hypolepis dicksonioides. Although small all plants seen lacked a creeping rhizome and had an erect growth habit. The adaxial surface of the fronds when fresh distinctly glaucescent and finely covered in whitish hairs. These are features I associate with Christella aff. dentata "thermal" of New Zealand proper. DNA voucher for Christella study.
