    Locally common. Forming a dense pliant vegetation through which little else can penetrate. Sparse associates included Ipomoea cairica (more common toward cliff margins), Cyperus insularis, Hypolepis dicksonioides and Tetragonia tetragonioides. No flowering or fruiting material seen.
