  • Field Collection Notes
Live flowering and fruiting plants scarce - mostly seen across the island as dried off mature plants killed one assumes by Cyclone Bune (and it is not always clear whether I was seeing S. nigrum or S. nodiflorum in that condition). This gathering is one of the few seen flowering and fruiting, it came from amongst a stand of Cyperus insularis. Leaves dark green flushed maroon when fresh. Flowers in loose pseudoumbels.
