    Abundant component of coral makatea vegetation and petrel scrub. Mostly present as seedlings and young plants, however, in sheltered sites, coral overhangs, crevices and joints larger fruiting plants were occasionally present, these I assume having escaped the ravages of Cyclone Bune.
