Single tree to c. 6m tall with multiple stems, canopy in good condition. On bank along mid section of Pukapuka stream on ecotone between upper influence of estuary and riparian area. Next to swimming hole and a mowed grassy area, growing with kiekie, ponga, Nestegis lanceolatus, tanekaha, Coprosma lucida under the influence of a large Cupressus macrocarpa. Leaf fragments collected for DNA analysis by Ben Myles. Only individual seen in area
