Common. Corticolous on the branches and twigs of Kermadec pohutukawa (Metrosideros kermadecensis). Gathering appears to fit best within this species better than anything else. Accurate species determination of Heterodermia gatherings that I made from the Kermadecs during the 2011 visit were for me problematic and as such all my Heterodermia determinations really require a specialists attention.
