Field Collection Notes
Common in surge zone and so very difficult to collect safely. Saxicolous on andesite boulders. Thallus dark amber-brown when fresh, stems pendulous. This was at the time of the survey a very common marine alga in these types of habitats on the Kermadec Islands.
