Field Collection Notes
Saxicolous on massive basalt boulders exposed at extreme low tide. Confined to the more sheltered sides where forming a curtain of extremely tough, pendulous amber-brown growth. Although very common, specimens were extremely difficult to collect safely due to the surges experienced whilst on the island. Associated with two other kinds of brown alga (see K1025 (see AK 327452) and K1028 (see AK 327453))
