Field Collection Notes
Large remnant swamp forest on Rahuikiri Road divided between several maori owners. A single large individual to 6m tall, growing on slightly raised hummock among kahikatea/cordyline dominated swamp forest. Canopy includes puriri & nikau with a subcanopy of Myrsine australis, Carmichaelia australis, Coprosma tenuicaulis, with Coprosma rhamnioides, kiekie and Gahnia xanthocarpa common shrubs. Ground boggy at site with Carex geminata agg., Carex secta, Carex sp., hangehange and putaputaweta seedlings common
