    Growing on northern side of Te Muri estuary in a boggy seepage under tall kanuka forest, with patches of manuka & flax. Growing with tall Baumea juncea, Carex virgata and Callitriche muelleri, Lotus pedunculatus and Ranunculus repens. This form is upright, with smaller/narrower leaves and narrow seed head, green at first and turning brown. Larger leaved form is also along the estuary and possibly one other form adjoining Mahurangi west regional Park. Occasional
