    Locally common. On serpentinite cliff face just west of waterfall. Plants growing in dense scrub developed under pohutukawa (Metrosideros excelsa) trees. Associated with houpara (Pseudopanax aff. lessonii) and Pittosporum serpentinum. THis location was the only site where Macropiper was seen during the 2009-2011 survey of the ultramafic part of the North Cape area.
