    In dense kauri (Agathis australis) - rawiri (Kunzea ericoides var. linearis) - monoao (Halocarpus kirkii) - totara (Podocarpus cunninghamii and P. totara var. totara) - rimu (Dacrydium cupressinum) forest. Cortciolous on rimu bark. Growing admixed with Harpalejeunea filicuspis (see AK 329706), Cheilolejeunea sp., Frullania chevalieri (see AK 329707) and other Frullania spp.
