Tuhipoka mō te Kohinga i te Wāhi Taketake
Growing mixed with Didymodon weymouthii (117-42a) in bryophyte sward.
On sloping soil on eroding coastal cliff, W facing, lightly shaded by pōhutukawa to N.
Site indicated in Fig. 4 of Beever (2014) Mosses of Te Haupa ABSJ 69.
"Most likely Chiloscyphus calcareus which is supposed to be only on limestone type habitats. Is there any chance that the habitat was limey [midden material]? C. hattorii seems to have cells and underleaves that are a bit big. The only other possibility is a species of Leptoscyphus but there are no keys to that genus at all. Leaf cells 22-25um, I have taken notes on cell size, oil body number and shape, structure and size." JE Braggins, Oct 2014
