    Bay covered in small pebbles (<5 mm) with large Hormosira dominated reef at one end. Community: Carpophyllum sp?, Hormosira banksii, coralline turf. Many (>100) plants throughout the tidal zone. Attached either to shells or small rocks buried in sand; or drifting. Large plants in upper tidal were deteriorating badly with many fully dried plants on the strand line. Few plants among the Hormosira. Epiphytised by several seaweed species, but free from epiphytic animals.
