Field Collection Notes
Common. Growing on compacted tuffaceous material and 'soil' in summit forest, in sites frequented by Kermadec petrels (often forming green 'smears' with guano splattered ground). Alga forming a minute fruticose crust several millimetres in height, bright green when fresh. Although common, it proved extremely difficult to collect good material and successfully transport this off the island and back to New Zealand.
