    Common around the entrance to the lake walkway on the lake edge amongst the flax. The wooden walkway crosses between the 2 main lakes. Not noticed at other locations around the lakes. With Lycopus europeaeus. Surrounded by native plantings including flax, cabbage trees, manuka, kanuka and kahikatea. The lakes, plantings and surrounds are man-made by Auckland Council to assist with storm water management in the area.
