2.5m high small erect tree. Leaves pale yellow-green. Inflorescences much branched; branches longer than most other plants on Rarotonga. Flowers white with yellow centre, notable for being smaller and 'star-shaped' with petals opening to 45 degrees. Very distinctive plant; scattered examples occurred around the island, consistently different from the majority of P. rubra. Had the look of an old, original introduction. Specimen over two sheets (A&B).
