    V. tall tree with massive, spreading branches from 60m up. Ht 20+m, dbh 112cm. Bark pale brown, v. deeply ridged, cracked. Young branches glossy mid-brown with blade-like ridges. Lvs either in clusters or singly, alt along ends of branches, dk green glossy upper, v pale green under. Petioles bronze-blushed.
    Yunnan Poplar.
