    Small sparsely branched 2 trunked tree. Not thriving. Ht ca 4m. Leaves on ends of branches, top 1/2 of tree. Old wood dull grey, split; younger wood grey-brown, glossy. Lvs alt, 11-13 pinnate midgreen dull upper, paler grey underside. Petioles bright red at base. Buds deep purple-red. Fruit small, deep crimson-pink when mature. Dull. Growing in clusters at ends of branchlets.
    Open sunny situation on Sth facing gently sloping hillside sheltered by surrounding large.
