    Medium tree, ht ca 10m. Open habit, spreading branches. (Some death of central leaders). Leaves 5-7 lobed, serrate margins, mid-green with deep purple colouring on upper side over much of leaf. Glossy gren beneath. Green veining. Samaras pale green, bow shaped. Petioles green, branchlets purple to brown.
    Shady South facing position, on gently sloping creek side. Dominated by many tall trees.
