    plant with tall basal sword-shaped lvs up to 2.4m long, rigid with edges curved under, mid-green glossy, darker green upper. Scape arching, 3.6m long, flower head 1.35m covered in bracts. Flower head made up of clusters of 9 flowers within a bract, close together. Flower - 6 fleshy rigid petals, intense pinky-red outside, inner white with pink blush at top. Sweetly scented.
    Growing in small clearing, sheltered, surrounded by tall trees.
    Spear lily.
