Plant with tall basal sword-shaped lvs up to 2.4m long, rigid with edges curved under, mid-green glossy, darker green upper. Scape arching to side, 3.6m long, flowerhead 1.35m, covered in bracts. Flower head made up of clusters of 9 flowers within a bract close together. Flower has 6 rigid fleshy petals, intense pinky-red outside, inner white with pink blush at top. Large fleshy white stamen, black anther. Sweetly scented.
Growing in small clearing, sheltered, surrounded by tall trees.
