    Roadside in mallee eucalypt woodland. Pale brown stony soil. Multistemmed shrub 1.5 m tall, 1.7 m diameter. Bark rough, dark grey. Phyllodes blueish green. Flowers orangey red or dull yellow. Associated taxa: Eucalyptus costata subsp. murrayana, Hysterobaekea behrii, Callitris, Glischrocaryon behrii, Melaleuca wilsonii, Melaleuca uncinata, Micromyrtus ciliata, Allocasuarina sp., Hibbertia? riparia, Eutaxia microphylla, Philotheca pungens.
