Pare
Description: Pare, portion of carved lintel. The three central figures on this pare are flanked by female manaia, the left one of which has had a square panel inserted as a repair. This has been attached at two points with kiekie roots. Below both manaia is a carved head. The lower portion of the pare, on which the three wheku stand, is uncarved, while the remaining openwork area incorporates rauponga and spiral designs. The pare has been made from medium brown wood, although the repaired section is of a lighter colour.
