Jane briefly mentions and of William Williams progress with the boys school and goes on to write of Henry Williams travels southward, to visit various mission stations such as East Cape, Turanga (Gisborne), and Kapiti, accompanied by "Christian natives of established character, to be fixed as teachers at the East Cape." She writes that as the population of the East Cape required growing attention, it was likely her family would relocate to the area, especially following the arrival of Mr Taylor who was to take charge of the boys school.
