    The text, which is taken from page 87, reads as follows:

    "My dear Son

    Be good to Mother. She is, and always will be your Best Friend. Trust & tell her Everything, especially if you are doubtful of any word, action or deed. Do not forget. Train yourself to be a Gentleman worthy of the name. Start now Its up to you to take my place. God Bless you my Laddie.
